Antibacterial Paint with N-Halamine

The bright minds from The University of South Dakota have discovered a super-substance N-Halamine that has antibacterial properties. It is possible to add the N-Halamine to paint, which turns the surfaces into a perfect microbe killing machine. Walls covered with N-Halamine would help fighting E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida tropicalis, M2 virus and Bacillus subtilis spores. The new substance would solve the global problem of hospital superinfections and who knows, could also be used in home design.

Development of N-Halamine lasted from 2005 to 2012 when the USD started experiments with kevlar military suits that would spare soldiers serious infections. Now the University is in talks with major paint producers to see if the substance could go into mass production.
