Alingtons Innovation Ltd officiates the sales by facilitating providing sellers with a selling platform and processing online payments. Legally, you are buying directly from the dealer and not from Alingtons Innovation Ltd.. The items sold on SoMod are second hand or antique and age-related character marks can usually be seen. Items are purchased as seen on the photographs and descriptions. Antiques and used objects can also come with odours due to age. Whilst we and our dealers make every endeavour to point out if there are any signs of restoration, we cannot cover every eventuality. In the unlikely event you are not happy with your purchase, we will issue a refund (excluding carriage costs), the item must be returned within 28 days of purchase in the same condition as it was before purchase. The refund will be issued within 5 working days of return receipt.
If you cancel your purchase before courier is paid, a full refund will be issued. Otherwise, courier fee will not be returned. Please note that we use 3rd party couriers, we pay them upfront and their services are non-refundable.
Delivery charge stated on checkout is a guide only. We do our best to give you an accurate estimation, however, sometimes delivery circumstances change. We will issue a separate invoice in case the actual delivery charge is higher.
We do our best to describe the items accurately and to give you exact measurements. Please make sure that you measure the space that the items have to fit into, as we cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to the piece trying to get them into spaces that are not big enough.
Please inspect all goods for any damage upon arrival.
In the unlikely event that an item has been damaged in transit please do not sign for goods. Refuse the delivery and return them with the delivery driver immediately. Then contact us via email or phone to let us know the item is being returned and why. The item sale price and delivery cost is insured and will be fully refunded to you, providing that damage is noted upon attempted delivery to you.
We only use couriers who are properly insured. The insurance is at no extra charge and it commences when the item is purchased, and finishes when it is unloaded from the van at its destination.
If using your own courier please ensure you have adequate insurance as we cannot be held responsible in any way for any damage caused when it leaves our premises. If you require any packaging for your own courier we do charge for the materials used.
