Vihervaja – a Multipurpose Garden Shed

Here’s something to consider for your eco garden next year. A Finnish company Kekkila has come up with this amazing combination of a greenhouse and garden shed called Vihervaja (translates as the Green Shed). They aparently thought that garden with scattered and differently styled outbuildings didn’t look neat. And right they are – many people are ruining their landscape design with inappropriate derelict garden sheds and other questionable garden features.

The Kekkila greenhouse comes neatly incorporated with a large garden shed. It can hold all your spades, buckets and other sorts of high-tech gardening tools.

However, to have some more fun, the Finnish designers have decided to showcase their product used as something entirely different. We do know about enthusiastic men who spend nights at their garden sheds or garden studios after a quarrel with a wife or maybe just to be closer to the nature.

In the Kekkila greenhouse, you can apparently… live, or at least spend quality leisure time. As you can see in the picture, it is idyllic and glorious. Who wouldn’t want to wake up to the sunrise and birdsongs?!

As for the gardeners, this is not just one of those crazy concepts that keep popping up here and there. The garden shed and greenhouse hybrid is actually on sale and doing quite well in Finland. They come in various sizes and are based on a modular design that is very convenient and sustainable!
