Fernando Valenzuela is a well-known contemporary artist who was born in Chile and active in Paraguay. His unique painting style is characterised by fuzzy outlines and a warm, dreamlike sensation. Valenzuela’s favourite art subjects are Paraguayan farmers, landscapes and colonial buildings in different settings. Valenzuela mainly works in oil. This oil painting was made in the early 2000s.
His paintings have been widely exhibited in Paraguay, Chile, elsewhere in South America and North America. His most recent foreign exhibition took place in January 2014 in Santa Monica at the International Chess Park. He was one of the few South American painters selected by a famous Mexican painter Jorge Mujica. He curated and presented the exhibition titled “Vamos a La Playa” – it was a major success and attracted art lovers from all over the United States.
