Description
Frame sideboard is a contemporary sideboard on a slim gunmetal grey support. The wide aluminium handles stress the extended horizontal form. Frame sideboard was inspired by the famous U+N series by Cees Braakman from 1958, and is translated into a modern design language using new techniques and materials. It has the typical Pastoe pure, modest, minimalist design. Frame is available in one height and two different widths.
Cees Braakman was one of the most prolific and famous Dutch furniture designers. He started working for Pastoe in 1934 when he was just 17 years old. In late 1940s he developed the first modern furniture line for Pastoe contributing to the company’s worldwide fame.
The current Frame Sideboard was designed by Joost Van Der Vecht – lead designer at Pastoe and the keeper of traditions established by Cees Braakman.
