Are you familiar with the work of Kevin Hunt? The Liverpudlian artist is the brain behind The Royal Standard art gallery. It is an artist-led gallery and the modern culture hub of Liverpool.
This garden furniture covered with grass is totally amazing. It shows you how well you can integrate objects within the Nature. The artist says that “the Garden Furniture project came about through an interest in making sculpture that uses both permanent and ephemeral materials”. Reclaimed furniture is used, making these chairs even greener.
Honestly, I’ve got no idea how practical this thing is but you can always try to replicate this sculpture in your own garden. You can use a reclaimed wooden furniture. Cut a template out of a turf roll and stick it on the surfaces using nails or ropes. If kept in a sunny, well aired place, the wooden parts shouldn’t really rot away.
However, don’t take my word for it as I haven’t tried any of this myself. Just a quick (ok, ok, crazy) idea inspired by Kevin Hunt. Alternatively, you can use artificial grass but, hey, that won’t be too green. Please let me know if you attempt to do it. I’d love to see the result!
I like bamboo chairs and rattan tables
